ITS at the Tesco Supplier Summit in the UK

Last week we were invited as suppliers to Tesco 's headquarters in Welwyn Garden City near London, where the Tesco Group Supplier Summit took place with over 200 representatives from suppliers and subcontractors, mainly from the CEE region.

We greatly appreciate the fact that together with the selected mobile operator we were the only representatives of ITS for the Czech Republic.

There were several common denominators of the conference and these are topics that resonate not only with Tesco, but undoubtedly with the entire retail sector.

Probírala se především udržitelnost, snižování emisí a obecně „go green„, snaha o odpovědný a udržitelný byznys se propisuje například ve využívání obnovitelných zdrojů energie, podpoře lokálního zemědělství v podobě různých inovativních programů až po zero-waste přístup.

A každá snaha a jednotlivé kroky se počítají. Konkrétně jde například o přechod na elektromobily a ekologičtější formy dopravy, či nové, více zelené metody chlazení sortimentu, které v objemech a v měřítku společnosti jako Tesco Group přináší nejen nemalé úspory, ale především jsou často hybatelem změn pro celé odvětví.
