VMware Explore on Tour: London 2025

1 min

On 17-18 September 2025, the Hilton London Metropolis hosted a stop on the VMware Explore On Tour global series, bringing cutting-edge tech know-how and community energy to London. We at ITS have been working with VMware technologies for a long time, so of course our representatives couldn't be absent.

The event attracted over 800 participants who engaged in more than 170 hands-on Hands-on Labs and earned a total of 150 certifications. The two-day program offered an intense dose of technical workshops, inspiring keynotes and, traditionally, networking opportunities with IT and cloud experts.

Main topics and themes

The London stop offered mainly technical "deep dives" into VMware and Broadcom solutions for modern data centers and hybrid cloud. Scenarios of real deployment of VMware technologies in enterprises across different sectors were discussed, besides the mentioned Hands-on Labs it was possible to go through certifications and last but not least the topic of course revolved around security and AI.

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0: the star of the show

One of the main draws was the new version of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0.

VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is a comprehensive platform for building and managing hybrid cloud infrastructures that combines compute power, networking, storage and management into one integrated solution that enables both traditional applications and modern cloud-native services.

How is VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 different and what does it bring? The main parameters are:

  • Unified infrastructure management - consolidating NSX, vSphere and vSAN into a single interface
  • Support for AI workloads with integrated GPU management and memory tiering with NVMe
  • Simplified licensing and security models suitable for regulated sectors
  • API consolidation and automation on a large scale that dramatically speeds up development and administration.
  • Hands-on Labs focused on performance, automation, operational management and Kubernetes and VM management from one place.

VCF 9.0 redefines the concept of private cloud and enables IT teams to move from managing individual components to a single, automated platform.
