Traditional wandering in the Czech mountains with ITS

The end of September is for some of us in ITS inseparably connected with one more event, namely 'Traditional wandering in the Czech mountains with ITS'. And as much as it evokes mountain hikes, it is still primarily a working event.

We have been holding this truly long-standing tradition in the company for two decades, and it is one of our most popular events - both for us and, judging by the feedback and 100% participation, for our business partners. And we appreciate it very much.

This year we went to Šumava, specifically to the Zadov ski resort, on 25-26 September. In the background of Sporthotel Olympia we had again a very interesting mix of our long-term cooperating technology and business partners, as well as customers from different sectors.

The opportunity to discuss today's hottest topics in an informal setting and the beautiful Czech mountains, to enjoy some fresh air, was welcomed by absolutely everyone.

As always, the program included news from IBM's portfolio, especially the Power 11 series, cryptographic cards, storage, tape libraries and many related topics, all in the presence of our specialists and experts from IBM.

A special workshop was prepared on Quantum safe and quantum threats. It brought not only a comprehensive view of the current developments in the field of quantum computers, explaining the consequences in case of a breach of the existing security - but also possible solutions, for example in the form of cryptographic coprocessors. We helped to add context and understand what the path to crypto-agility entails. Also why remediation needs to start immediately.

We believe that all the participants enjoyed the Šumava trip together with us and took away valuable information, both from the programme itself and from the many discussions.
