How to audit cybersecurity

In the first half of November, in cooperation with the Czech Institute of Internal Auditors , we once again focused on the topic of cyber security auditing, an extensive and often difficult to grasp area even from the perspective of experienced auditors.

At the workshop How to audit cyber security , we focused as always not only on the legislative framework and obligations under the law, but also on a number of practical recommendations gathered from our years of experience.

The topic of cybersecurity is a very rewarding one in this respect and, given the constant evolution of technology, an increasingly diverse one. What all falls under a cybersecurity audit, how deep one needs to go, or how the internal auditor can be a key actor not only in controlling but also in strategic changes in the organization - for example, in the context of new threats such as quantum computers or artificial intelligence - this was also part of the morning session.

We have long viewed internal auditing as an essential part of the company - not just as a way to oversee compliance with regulations and standards, but by definition. Internal audit is a valuable tool that can be used for continuous improvement - especially in such a dynamic environment where what was true yesterday may not be true today.
