IBM: Put AI to work

"Last year brought fundamental changes that forced business and technology leaders to rethink their approach to innovation. Finding a balance between flexibility and best practice has become key. Generative and, especially, agentive AI have opened up entirely new possibilities - but also challenges that we are still learning to deal with."

Introductory text for the event on 23 September 2025 organised by IBM in collaboration with Czech Association of Artificial Intelligence described very accurately the entire content. Put IA to work focused on the practical application of generative and agentive AI in business, offering companies concrete guidance on how to use modern technology to increase productivity, streamline processes and drive growth.

The conference attracted business leaders, IT specialists and experts from the fields of finance, HR, operations and customer support. The programme featured inspiring presentations and case studies that showed how AI can be used to transform key processes. There was a strong focus on the link between generative and agentive AI, which enables not only the automation of routine tasks but also intelligent decision-making across departments. Data Fabric infrastructure was also an important topic, enabling companies to deploy AI solutions faster, reduce costs and use resources more efficiently.

An interesting addition to the programme were real technological delicacies that demonstrated the capabilities of contemporary artificial intelligence. Visitors could see the unmanned F1 formula equipped with advanced sensors and algorithms for autonomous driving, as well as the VLQ quantum computer, which will be part of the European supercomputing infrastructure. Both technologies attracted a lot of interest and showed how AI translates into real products and innovations.

Velkou pozornost si získala také panelová diskuse s odborníky z IBM, akademické sféry i start-upového prostředí, kde se věnovalo jak etickým otázkám, bezpečnosti a tak i budoucímu vývoji AI. Zazněly názory na nutnost regulace, transparentnosti algoritmů i odpovědnosti při nasazování AI do kritických oblastí. Diskuse ukázala, že vedle technologického pokroku je důležité vést i otevřený dialog o dopadech umělé inteligence na společnost.

The Put AI to Work conference confirmed that artificial intelligence is no longer just a vision of the future, but a concrete tool for transforming companies. Participants took away not only new insights but also inspiration on how to use AI in their own businesses. Thanks to our long-standing partnership with IBM, we are happy to be there again.
