Cyber Security Week Den Haag & ITS in the Netherlands

4 min

Did you know that October is European Cyber Security Month? Many events and initiatives are taking place in parallel across Europe, one of the most important of which was Cyber Security Week Den Haag 2025which this year, from 29 September to 3 October, was traditionally hosted by the third largest city in the Netherlands, The Hague.

The Hague, which is home to nearly fifty supranational institutions and organisations, from Europol to the International Court of Justice, and which bears the subtitle of the City of Peace and Justice, provided the backdrop for several major events.

At the invitation of the National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NCIS), which is also involved in a number of activities in cooperation with the CzechTrade agency, representatives of ITS went to the Netherlands this year for Cyber Security Week as part of the Proped economic mission.

Our goal: to establish contacts and open new collaborations with other partners, especially in the field of post-quantum encryption.

HSD Delta & Innovation Quarter

The Hague-Rotterdam region of the Netherlands is home to two key organisations promoting innovation and security: the Security Delta (HSD) and InnovationQuarter.

HSD is a national security cluster that brings together over 300 companies, government agencies and research organizations to strengthen cybersecurity and digital resilience. It acts as a hub for sharing knowledge, developing innovative solutions and developing security talent.

In contrast. Innovation Quarter is a regional economic development agency focused on supporting technology start-ups, investment in innovation and international expansion of companies. It creates links between business, academia and the public sector, particularly in areas such as energy, healthcare, digital technology and cybersecurity.

One Conference 2025

Two-day One Conference (30.9. - 1.10.), huge in scope and participation in the Hague World Forum, offered a spectrum of thematic lectures, networking and much more, such as the Talent Hub zone, presentations of start-ups, or part of the Expo.

The programme was really packed, and we consider some of the most interesting sessions to be those presented by representatives of the local police regarding the investigation of specific cases of cybercrime. And just like at our local events, the need for international cooperation resonated a lot.

Pitch2TheDutch

One of the other opportunities at the parallel One Conference was the opportunity for selected companies to present their products, solutions or strategies to a special audience - mostly consisting of CISOs, investors or representatives of the above-mentioned innovative organizations, within the so-called Pitch2TheDutch.

The presenting companies were selected by a demanding panel of experts and we are more than pleased that our Quantum safe strategy and WCDR ITS solution was selected as a finalist. Thank you, we very much appreciate this opportunity, as well as the discussions around the topic, which our colleague František Kovařík opened with our presentation. We are really happy for the many new contacts and the confirmation that PQC is definitely a hot topic.

Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Netherlands

The Czech delegation also had the opportunity to visit the residence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Netherlands, Mr. Rene Mike, who welcomed us at a reception associated with the Proped mission. We also appreciate very much this beautiful festive event, and we would like to thank NUCIB and Czech Trade - not only for the opportunity to represent us as an ITS company, but as the Czech Republic in general. And in the context of cyber security, we definitely have a lot to offer as a country.

International cooperation - and not necessarily only in the sense of business - but making valuable and beneficial contacts makes a lot of sense to us. We have confirmed that the Netherlands is a leader in this segment with an agile approach and we look forward to all future collaborations.
