What's missing from the schoolroom theory? Practice!

In addition to preparations for the final exams, the spring months are traditionally associated with compulsory student internships, which we at ITS consider to be a very important part of education - especially in a field such as information technology.

That's why in the last week of April we welcomed the first students from the Private High School of Computing in Prosek, Prague, with whom we have been cooperating for a long time not only in the framework of internships.

Studenty z druhého, a následně i třetího ročníku, pojí krom touhy po vědomostech i zaměření na kybernetickou bezpečnost.

A my věříme, že se záběrem činností, jaký máme v ITS, jim máme co nabídnout – ať už jde o možnost vyzkoušet si v praxi různé technologie či nástroje, se kterými se ve škole potkají jen v teoretické rovině; přes možnost zeptat se zkušených expertů na cokoliv, co je zajímá, až po zasazení mnoha věcí do kontextu – právě díky setkání se s nimi i v reálném prostředí.

Pevně doufáme, že krátký čas, který je pro studenty vymezen, pro ně bude přínosem a že i z těchto dvou týdnů budou moci čerpat do budoucna. Více než kde jinde vnímáme právě v IT rozdíl mezi vědomostmi nabitými při studiu a kontaktem s reálným světem.

And we see our role in this as well. To offer these new talents a broader range of opportunities, to help guide them towards the right specialisation that will continue to entertain and fulfil them professionally in the future.

After all, we will all soon depend on this generation of future IT specialists. That is why we consider it our duty to participate at least in a small way in their preparation.
