What will the combination of VMware and Broadcom bring?
1 min
This was one of the main questions that yesterday's Technology forum Prague 2024, which took place at 02 universum, this year under the joint auspices of TD Synnex & VMware, helped to answer.
The event was again truly spectacular, with various partners taking turns on stage under the baton of Vlastimil Horák (VMware) and Pavel Salák (TD Synnex), discussing product news for this year, and presenting several case studies.
Worth mentioning is the project withthe Czech Police, which was engagingly presented by Mr. Karel Draganov (NCICT) and which assured us that law enforcement agencies are certainly not lagging behind in technology. Several interesting and specific figures were also mentioned, such as how, thanks to the integration of systems via VMware solutions, there is effective cooperation within the Schengen Area in the search for missing persons, or how many IT employees the Czech Police has. Interesting figures.
The main topic of the panel discussion was the trend of migrating from the cloud back to on-premises solutions, with the panelists generally agreeing that a purely cloud-based environment may not be suitable for everyone and that, in many cases, a hybrid approach may be the best solution. It was widely noted that terms such as “hybrid cloud” and “multicloud” will become even more common.
As every year, the event was also beneficial in the area of networking, thanks to the opportunity to meet a number of personalities from the Czech IT top. Finally, the evening was informally closed with a concert by Monkey Business.
